VALENTINE’S TEA

Saturday, February 11, 2012 at 1:00 we will be holding our annual Valentine Day’s Tea.  There will only be one sitting so make your reservations early.  Cost is $22.00 and includes a tour of the museum as well as the tea and scrumptious munchies.  Call 635-7925 and leave a message.  We will be checking messages weekly through January while the museum is closed and will return your call.  A check is required to confirm your reservation.  Sorry we are unable to accept credit cards.

WINTER SCHEDULE

McAllister House Museum closes for the month of January to allow time for special cleaning and for our small staff to have time with their families.  There’s still time to visit in December so please call or come by before we close for the month.  We’ll be back in February!

At the beginning of September we started Winter hours.  We are open Thursday through Saturday from 10:00 AM until 4:00 PM with the last tour beginning about 3:15.

FIFTIETH ANNIVERSARY OF MCALLISTER HOUSE AS A MUSEUM

In June of 2011, we celebrated the 50th anniversary of the opening of McAllister House as a museum by The National Society of The Colonial Dames in the State of Colorado. The creation of the museum was made possible by the generosity of Shepard Citations and a grant from El Pomar Foundation.

A special commemorative book is complete and is available for sale in the gift shop.
