    Temporary Exhibit – A Quaker Family Holiday

    Take a house tour throughout the month of December to get a special look at the McAllister House as we present an interpretation of how Quaker families, like the McAllisters, celebrated the holidays. 

     Holiday Tea – Saturday, December 1st two seatings, 11am and 2pm

    The McAllister House serves an authentic Afternoon Tea with real clotted cream. Yummy! All teas are $30 per person and include a tour of the museum. Call us to reserve your space today as seats are filling up fast. 719-635-7925

    First Friday at the McAllister House – Friday, December 7th, 5-8pm

    Sneak a Peek at the McAllister House by candle light. First Friday events are always free!

    The Royal Gorge War – Sunday, December 9th at 1pm 

    Frank Polzin has been studying the history of Colorado Railroads and associated material culture for over 40 years. As an avid historian and avocational archaeologist, Mr. Polzin has taken part in archaeological projects with the National Park Service and the U.S. Forest Service. He is retired after a 30 year career at the Colorado Department of Labor and lives in Colorado Springs, which he has called home for more than 40 years.

    Admission is free ($5 suggested donation).
