Tea room
Join us at one of the special event teas we host. Bring friends, out-of-town guests, or family to relax and enjoy small sandwiches, desserts, and tea, coffee, or a lemonade in the Victorian manner.
Teas include a tour of the museum with a knowledgeable guide eager to enlarge your understanding of the rich heritage of our beautiful city, in the foothills of majestic Pikes Peak.
Check the Calendar page for the dates of the regularly scheduled Christmas, March Mad Hatter, and Mother’s Day teas and tours.
Private teas and tours can be arranged for 15-18 guests. Bridal shower teas, church groups, book clubs or Red Hat Society teas are perfect!
Gift Certificates for the teas may be purchased and make thoughtful thank you remembrances for special people.

Events
The McAllister family held birthday parties and other gatherings on the grounds of their home. Each summer the Museum Committee invites the public to the lawns to enjoy an Old Fashioned Ice Cream Social. Hundreds of ice cream cones are sold at 5 cents each, games are enjoyed, quartets sing, and locals and tourists mingle in a Victorian genteel manner. Check the Calendar for dates and times
The Victorian Christmas celebrations at the Museum are another highlight of each year. The house is decorated in festive attire, and the Christmas teas are a real winter treat. The 2010 Victorian Christmas Teas and Tours are in the planning stages. Please call for information or email the museum curator at, curator@mcallisterhouse.org Reservations accepted starting October 1, reserve your spot early!
Other events include our annual Easter Egg Hunt, Front Range Herb Society meetings, and educational tours for students and children.
